Preparation required to receive the sacrament of Baptism varies based on age.

Baptism (children & adults):

Anyone 7 or over will participate in a preparatory process called the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults. Children have a specialized form suited for their specific age. OCIA is a yearly program offered in conjunction with the other parishes of Terre Haute. Classes begin in August and conclude with the celebration of Easter Vigil in the spring. Baptism for Infants

The Sacrament of Baptism for infants and small children (age 6 and under) is celebrated throughout the year. Baptism classes for parents and godparents are offered as needed. Please complete the baptismal information form and return it to Ryan in the parish office.

Infant Baptismal Information Form

The Baptismal information form includes the Canonical regulations for Godparents.  Godparent documentation must be received in the church office no later than three weeks prior to the baptism date.  Godparents must attend a Baptismal instruction session.  Godparents are required to provide a letter from their pastor stating that they are a registered member of the parish and a Catholic in good standing.
