COMMISSION FOR PARISH LIFE AND SOCIAL CONCERNS

SAMARITAN MINISTRY

This ministry works with the poor and needy.  It provides assistance to persons seeking aid.  Food boxes are provided and financial assistance is given to help individuals pay for utility bills, housing, etc. All members of the committee are volunteers.  Meetings are held as needed.

HONDURAS MISSION

The Honduras Mission Project provides direct assistance to the people of our sister parish, San Maximiliano Kolbe in Comayaguela, Honduras.  Teams are involved with construction projects or medical clinics.  Participants are responsible for their own transportation expenses.  The team meets as needed

PRO LIFE

The Pro Life Committee seeks to educate parishioners and to promote a respect for human life.  The committee works to support pro-life legislation. The committee meets one evening each month throughout the year.

COMMUNITY BUILDERS

This committee has as its mission to build our St. Joseph’s community through spiritual, service and social activities.  Membership is open to all interested parishioners.  The committee meets monthly throughout the year.

SPONSOR COUPLES

Married couples meet with engaged couples as they prepare to be married in the Catholic Church.  They help the engaged couple grow in their relationship by working through a questionnaire dealing with relationship issues.  Training is required.

PARISH FAMILY PICNIC

The parish family picnic is held each year on the second Sunday of August. Many volunteers are needed for this committee.
